Fungas’ latest single “Skaff” is the first taste from their next full length record, to be released on their Newcastle based DIY label New Brain Communications.“Skaff” is a testament to power, and power control, with Fungas somehow fitting crispy drums, driving guitars, tripped out synths as well as MF DOOM inspired samples, into a 1 minute and 37 second gem from a refined, sonic, expressive force. Catchy, driving, breathtaking, and tight. “Skaff” is as powerful as you are powerless to it.
Written and recorded on Awabakal Lands within NBCHQ by the band, they fill this short song with pure, concentrated moonlight energy straight from the source. The 1/2 inch tape used for recording could not contain this power any longer.Conceived by the sonic ensemble’s enigmatic drummer/vocalist Gustave, written and fleshed out by Fungas, and recorded/produced by the updated model of frontman Cherry Wifi.
This represents new heights of creation, power, and sound quality for Fungas.Releasing on the 21st of June, 2024, Fungas take their intense, sweat-drenched live show on the road to support the single.

Alternative Punk-Rap Icon, Phi11a is set to embark on an exclusive Melbourne and Sydney tour this July in support of his debut self-titled album. Breaking away from convention, Phi11a’s latest release ventures into uncharted territories, delivering an electrifying fusion of alternative, punk, rap, and pop influences. Renowned for his raw vulnerability and rebellious spirit, the album showcases gritty guitar riffs, pulsating rhythms, infectious vocal hooks, and witty bars.
This genre-defying artist combines powerful, dirty & thought-provoking lyrics, with an eclectic style & refreshing outlook. Phi11a spent years grinding as an independent artist, until he announced himself with his debut single ‘Overdose’.
